September 25th 2009 06:35
Most of the time, I normally travel to the places that have warmer climate. Africa, the plateau continent, which is covering with a lot of unfold mysteries, is one of the most spectacular travel destinations for the epic travelers!
As one of the African countries with the most ethnically diversified, South Africa is best known for the mixture of African and European cultures. Cape Town, as the country’s second largest most populous city in South Africa, is also the most popular tourist destination in the country!
For those who didn’t notice, Cape Town got its nickname, “Tavern of the Sea” in a few centuries ago. In the past, there are bunches of sailors coming here to relax, after being sailing on a ship for over months in the sea.
Cape Town Airport, which is also the second largest airport in South Africa, only after OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg, is the hub for South African Airways and the major gateway for all getting to all famous tourists attractions inside the South Africa!
When you arrived at the Cape Town Airport for the first time, you can see that the terminals are well-arranged in a line along a single road. The Cape Town Airport is expected to become extremely busy, as it’s in the preparation for welcoming the guests for the FIFA 2010 World Cup. However, the traffic in the Cape Town Airport is a little bit crowded. If you don’t want to waste your time waiting for the Airport cab, then you’re better to make a call booking for a hire car through the Car Hire Cape Town Airport.
Once you’ve moved into the hotel’s room, it’s time to go out and visit some of the most interesting places in Cape Town! Ok, let’s start with the Table Mountain National Park. This national park is previously known as the Cape Peninsula National Park, is famous with the rare fynbos vegetation.
The Cape Point is the most significantly dramatic tourist attraction on this national park. So, be sure to reach to the top of mountain by hiking, or taking the Table Mountain Cableway!
Robben Island is the most famous tourist attraction in Cape Town. Why? It is because this is the famous prison located on the island, where Nelson Mandela spent 18 years of his life as prisoner here! However, you must keep in mind that the visit to Robben Island needs a reservation. This means, you should book it at least two weeks earlier, before you’ve the chance to have a peek on it!
Well, for the shopaholics, the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront is the best shopping revenue for foreign tourists. Don’t worry, as it’s not one of the tourists traps in South Africa and the price of goods are reasonably affordable! It located between Table Mountain and Robben Island. That’s why it turns into one of the most-visited destinations in Cape Town.
There are still many places in Cape Town waiting for us to discover. Honestly, you’re going to need at least three days, if you want to visit the whole Cape Town! In this case, it’s necessary to get a car hire from the car hire South Africa. It’s not only help you to save a lot of money, but you’ll have freedom traveling to any of the tourists attractions you want!
