Do’s and Don’ts Before You Go for a Trip – Part 2

January 8th 2012 12:27
How are your days, my friends? It’s good to see you again…

In the last topic, we’re discussing about the do’s and don’ts before you go for a trip. Ok, it’s time to continue our journey and hope you’re ready for it…

No.6 Credit cards and Traveler’s cheques
Do’s: It’s essential to bring at least a credit card beside you. It would be even better, if you can equip yourself with traveler’s cheques.

Don’ts: Honestly, cash money is not the first option. Hence, you shouldn’t bring too much of cash, especially if you’re traveling in the area with high criminal rate.

No.7 Passport size photos
Do’s: It’s for the precaution to redeem your passport again, especially when your passport was gone, due to the pickpocket.

Don’ts: It’s not a good idea, if you take the passport size photos in the local photo shops, as you might be scammed by the shop owners!

No.8 Travel tags
Do’s: Apply the travel tags on each of your luggage. You should write down your name, address and telephone number on the travel tags.

Don’ts: It’s not a good idea, if you didn’t place the travel tags on your luggage.

No.9 IDD calls
Do’s: Check the IDD calls’ rate carefully, before you’re going to that country. You should prefer the home based telephone than mobile phone.

Don’ts: Don’t make any mobile phone calls, if it’s not necessary. I bet you don’t want to accept a skyrocketing mobile phone bills, once you’re backed from vacation, isn’t it?

No.10 Photocopy

Do’s: Photocopy your passport, air passenger ticket, driving license and credit cards into three copies. Keep one copy by yourself, one copy for the ambassador and another one at your homeland!

Don’ts: Without the photocopies of your important documents, you’re risking your life in the foreign countries.

That’s all for today. Next time, I’m going to give more tips, especially when you’re traveling to rural or remote areas…

Ciao!
