Have a Happier Trip with Lighter Luggage!

August 13th 2009 10:40
For most of the people who love to travel like me, I bet you have encountered this problem no once, but many times during your trip – The overweight luggage!

To be honest, I remembered my very first trip was traveling to Phuket, Thailand with my family, when I was 11-year-old. Well, I helped my parents to pack their luggage and my own luggage. To be honest, we didn’t know that the airport have a standard weight rules for the luggage, as no one told us about it! Well, when we’re arrived at the airport and ready to board the airplane, we’re being told that our luggage are overweight!

In this case, we have two options: Leave some of the luggage in the airport, or pay for the extra weight! Err…, we got no choice, but have to pay the hefty fine. I heard some passengers were laughing at us and said that we’re really a joke for them! Gosh, it was one of the most embarrassed moment in my life…

We’ve learned the lesson and that’s why, we always weighing our luggage, before we’re going to the airport. At the beginning, we’re using the ordinary weighing scale to weigh our luggage. However, we’ve changed to the more advanced digital luggage scale afterward.

Frankly, it’s very easy to use the digital luggage scale, as all you have to do is hooking up your luggage, lift it up and the luggage scale will read the weight automatically!

Haha, from now on, we didn’t have to worry about the happening of being stopped in the airport checking counter for having overweight luggage. Furthermore, we can use the digital luggage scale to check the total weight of goods that we want to buy in foreign country, which it can avoid us from being the victim of the local cheaters!

Guys, with a lighter luggage, you now can have a nice and comfortable trip.

These days you can get luggage made from lightweight material. That can definitely help get rid of unnecessary weight

Great advice, Lara. Believe it or not, after the unforgettable lesson, I never bring more than 20lbs luggage for each of my trip!
