Naples – The Beautiful Guardian City of the Volcano Mount Vesuvius

October 15th 2009 04:59
I’ve been nearly one-thirds of the European countries and honestly, Italy is one of my top favorites. This country is fulfilled with many ancient yet magnificent historical monuments that always give me many unexpected surprises!

I used to spend a week visiting the whole Italy. During the one week trip, I’ve only concentrated on three cities, which as: Rome, Florence and Naples. I spent two days at Naples and it was one of the most spectacular moments that I’ve ever experienced in the Italy!

In the beginning, I thought that Naples is only another ordinary city at Italy that didn’t has any specialties. However, I admitted that I was very wrong, as soon as I’d arrive at Naples International Airport!

Gianetta (She really have a lovely name, isn’t it?), one of my pen pal since 15 years, is one of my closest friends in Italy. She is living in the beautiful Naples city and she’d invited me to drop her a visit, if I visits Italy. Therefore, I took the opportunity and be her guest for two days.

She is a very friendly lady, as she took two days off from her job and be my personal guide. She also invited me to stay at her house. However, in order to reduce her burden, I decided to stay at hotel napoli, or known as “Grand Hotel Oriente Napoli”.

Gianetta told me that the hotel napoli centro, which is located in the center of the Naples city, is amongst the busiest hotel of all. She described that Naples was the capital of the former Kingdom of Naples. Italy’s famous volcano mountain, Mount Vesuvius is a stratovolcano east of Naples. She mentioned that the destruction of ancient city, Pompeii was the solid proof that Mount Vesuvius is a scary “Sleeping beauty”. Honestly, she is waiting for the right time to wake up and give the human beings a “vicious kiss”.

Furthermore, Gianetta also said that Naples was the most bombed Italian city during the horrific World War II. She told me that her grandfather was sacrificed in the unmerciful battle.

Gianetta remained me that Naples has the best pizza, music and gastronomy in the Italy. That’s why, Naples has been listed as one of the precious World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

Thanks to Gianetta, I’ve been a wonderful vacation in Naples. I promised to be her personal tour guide, if she is dropping me a visit in the near future.

By the way, you certainly don’t need to worry about the accommodation in Naples, as it has many prestige yet luxury hotel naples italy situated in the center of the city. Frankly, Naples is definitely one of the best tourist attractions in Italy!

Ladies, trust me, as Naples is a very fun place to visit, especially if you love the ancient historical buildings. After all, it's the main entrance to the astonishing Capri island!

Yeah, and it's better for you to visit the city yourself. Trust me, we cannot describe it with words, once we're viewing the breathtaking scenery...
