Guys, we all knew that Machu Picchu is one of the world’s new seven wonders. Thousands of tourists are flocking to the Machu Picchu everyday, soon after it being announced as one of the world’s seven wonders!
However, did you know that besides the Machu Picchu, there’s an old Peruvian town named “Ollantaytambo”? This unique town offers spectacular views of a charming little village, ancient Incan ruins and greenish mountains to the tourists.
In Ollantaytambo, you’re totally free from the neon signs, and the Hilton or Hyatt hotels are not able to penetrate this place. All you can see here is the local friendly peoples doing businesses on the cobblestone streets!
To be honest, Ollantaytambo is one of the few places, where its sceneries are even more attractive looking through by your naked eyes, than through the lens of camera!
The Ollantaytambo Ruins is the main attraction. It’s a former Incan fortress, which is used for agriculture and decorative. There’s an unfinished Temple of the Sun on the top of the hill.
Believe it or not, the ruins were built based on the Llama’s shape! Sounds interesting, isn’t it?
By the way, don’t forget to visit the Ollantaytambo’s local museum, as it contains many rare Incan artifacts that you’ve never see before!
