Stay Away from The World’s Worst Taxi Rides!

Guys, what’s the main purpose of traveling? Isn’t it should be a fun and interesting moment, where you can lose all the frustration and stresses away?

However, the joyful feeling would be permanently wiped off, if you’re encountering with bad taxi service!

According to the survey, up to 90 percent of the travelers would at least been through a worst taxi ride once in their trip/vacation. Most of the people have their own taxi horror story to share, such as how they’re being scammed, intimidation, physical threats, malfunctioning meters, extortion and so on.

Today, we’re going to reveal five of the world’s worst taxi rides and hope you’ll take note of it!


No.1 Phnom Penh, Cambodia
Foreign tourist having the problem being threatens as a cheapskate or ungenerous person, especially when they are refusing the local taxi driver to become their personal guide tour! In this case, you’re better to rent a car or motorbike, as it costs from $20 - $25 per day.

No.2 Mumbai, India



The taxi rides in Mumbai, India is not too good, as there’s a huge traffic congestion, especially in the morning and evening! For overcoming the hefty taxi price, it’s better to rent a Cool Cab.

No.3 Jakarta, Indonesia
We’ve been reading many news about how chaotic Jakarta was, where there are many foreign tourists have been ripped off or being robbed by the thieves during the taxi rides! If you’re traveling to Jakarta or any Indonesian’s Cities, it’s a wise choice to call the Blue Bird Group, the largest and recognition taxi fleet in Indonesia!


No.4 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia



Well, it isn’t the first time that Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia’s taxi service being categorized as one of the worst taxi service among 30 countries! Most of the foreigners always complaint that they’re being scammed by unbelievably expensive taxi fee and unfriendly attitude! They’re totally upset and frustrated with the taxi rides in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It seems the local government needs to do something, before it seriously affected the Malaysia’s tourism. Next time, when you’re visiting Kuala Lumpur, you should book in advance with Sunlight Radio Taxi.

No.5 Bangkok, Thailand
Bangkok, the capital of Thailand is well-known for the worst traffic congestion in the world. It might takes forever, once you’re getting stuck in the middle of the road. Even the three-wheeled tuk-tuks are not the solution for the horrible traffic jam! Well, if you want to release from the traffic jam nightmare, then you should take the water taxi tour or traveling with the Bangkok Skytrain.

Remember, every time when you’re jump into a taxi, you should ask the price for the first (If the taxi doesn’t have digital meter). Quickly jump down from the taxi, if you’re feeling something isn’t right with the taxi driver!

Great tips, Wilson. Sounds like walking might be faster than catching a taxi in some cities. Love the first photo!

Exactly, it's better to get your feet out from the taxis and walk by yourself, if you're inside the Mumbai city, Katyzzz. After all, it not only save you money, but you've the chance to sightseeing the scenery closer!

Yeah, fortunately, this situation didn't happen on Australia, or it would be a huge problem for sure...
