The Interesting Places in the City of Fog - London!
July 19th 2009 10:15
Hooray, it’s time to go for a vacation/break, especially in this sizzling hot summer. Wait a second, you and your family are arguing, as you don’t know where is the most suitable place to spend the summer holidays?
Well, you all should stop the argument, as I have a great recommendation for you here!
Have you ever been to the London, the biggest and important city of The United Kingdom? If you haven’t, then you must pay a visit to the City of Fog!
In this case, I’m going to cut the long story short, as I will go straight to the interesting landmarks in the U.K. When you’ve arrived at the Great Britain’s most busiest airport, The London Heathrow Airport, the fun is starting right away…
After you’ve checked in to a nearest hotel, it’s time to go for a London’s tour. First of all, you have to visit the Big Ben, as it’s the famous landmark of the United Kingdom. Then, along the Thames River, you have to drop a visit at the Royal Festival Hall and National Theater.
You’ll find the Tate Modern, which is a gallery that housed in a converted power station. If you’re a big fan of Shakespeare, then the Shakespeare’s Globe Theater is besides the Tate Modern!
When you’ve finished with the Thames River’s tour, now you have to change the tourist destination. A tube ride will take you to Westminster, where you can see the Houses of Parliament and the Westminster Abbey.
Don’t forget about the Buckingham Palace, as it’s the rest house for the Queen Elizabeth the Second and the official London residence of the British monarch.
By the way, here are the other interesting places in London (Get a notebook and mark it down right now). I sorted it down to three different parts.
Historical monuments:
• Downing Street
• Trafalgar Square
• Leicester Square
• Albert Memorial
• Kensington Palace (The former home of Princess Diana)
Museum/Gallery:
• National Gallery
• British Museum
• Natural History Museum
• Science Museum
• Victoria and Albert Museum
Park:
• Regent’s Park
• St James's Park
• Green Park
• Hyde Park
That’s all, I’ve listed almost 90 percent of the interesting places in London. Go and explore the beauty and remarkable sides of The United Kingdom.
Bon Voyage and have a safe journey!
