What To Expect When You’re Traveling to a Mystery Kingdom?
February 24th 2010 01:09
Like I’ve been told you all in the previous post, I went to 60 different countries since I was a little child. Honestly, I left my footprints on the six continents, from North America to Australasia (excluded the Antarctic).
However, I would like to travel to a new destination, which is having very strict rules to get into it. In this case, I think I’ve discovered a mystery kingdom, The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, which is normally known as “North Korea”.
Ok, firstly, I don’t want to hear or listen to any political news about this country, as it going to spoil my feeling! I knew that many countries have listed it as the infamous “Axis of Evil”, but it’s mainly referred to the leader, not the citizens!
Basically, North Korea is one of the most isolated countries in the world. Believe it or not, North Korea also has one of the most beautiful landscape in the world too! The Baekdu Mountain, which is a stratovolcano mountain, is partially filled by the waters of “Heaven Lake”.
The sightseeing around the Baekdu Mountain is breathtaking, as it covers with gigantic waterfalls, cairns, hot springs and river. It’s one of the famous camp site in North Korea
Furthermore, the Kumgangsan Tourist Region is another tourist’s attractions in North Korea. Before 1998, most of the foreign tourists visited the Kumgangsan by cruise ship. However, after the opening of the new built road, many foreign tourists can easily visit this gorgeous place by travel buses.
For those who haven’t experienced the beauty of North Korea, it’s definitely a worth to drop it a visit in the near future!
